NNGroup is excited to announce the NN/G UX Certification program’s newest specialty: Artificial Intelligence (AI). As AI reshapes every part of UX work, this specialty helps practitioners demonstrate that they can effectively utilize and adapt these new tools to their workflows with proficiency.

Why an AI Specialty?

Most available AI trainings are surface-level or not built for UX practitioners. The NN/G AI specialty brings our research-backed rigor to five UX-focused courses covering prompting, evaluating, and designing AI-powered products and workflows. Whether you’re trying to accelerate research, navigate AI design tools, or build AI product strategy, the courses in this specialty are grounded in decades of UX expertise — taught by the experts who develop the content.

Available Courses

To earn the optional AI specialty, attendees must complete five Live Online Training AI courses and pass the corresponding exams:

• Accelerating Research with AI: Safely and effectively integrate AI into the user research process without sacrificing the integrity of your findings. • AI for Design Workflows: Leverage AI to enhance creativity, efficiency, and impact in everyday design work • AI Product Strategy: Turn ideas into evidence-backed strategic direction through evaluation, prioritization, and cross-functional facilitation • Designing AI Experiences: Design innovative, trusted, and useful AI products and features • Efficient UX: Doing More with Less: Harness AI and other methods to keep pace with a rapidly evolving field

How It Works

Like all NN/G UX Certification specialties, the AI specialty requires three steps:

1. Attend 5 Live Online Training courses in the AI specialty 2. Pass the corresponding online exams within 35 days of attendance 3. The AI specialty is automatically displayed on your UX Certificate

There is no additional application or fee beyond the course registrations and exam credits.
